SassyDiva: Empowerment, Passion, and a Fearless Return to Dancehall

Nadera Jackson, professionally known as SassyDiva, is a Jamaican-born model, actress, and recording artist whose music champions confidence, independence, and real-life storytelling. Born on February 21 in Rollington Town, Kingston, Jamaica, she began performing at a young age and later studied at The Reel Fact Film & Television Studio in Toronto.

Her breakthrough came in 2009 with the singles “Cheater’s Loss” and “Tit 4 Tat,” both of which topped the Canadian Reggae Charts for eight consecutive weeks and gained airplay in South Florida, New York, and on Hype TV Jamaica.

Known for her empowering lyrics, SassyDiva addresses themes such as infidelity and female independence in tracks like “Yuh 2 Lie,” “C.E.O,” and “Rich Bi$h Energy.” Her dynamic presence has seen her share stages with international reggae and dancehall stars including Beres Hammond, Nesbeth, and Popcaan.

She received her first industry award in 2010 and went on to win Best New Female DJ at the Canadian Reggae Music Achievements Awards in 2011. Her self-titled debut album Nadera was released in 2013 through Phylani Music, followed by a successful European tour and the release of her EP Party All Night.

After a hiatus to complete university studies in psychology, SassyDiva returned to music with renewed focus and a refreshed sound. Recent releases such as “Jiggle Jiggle” and “C.E.O” highlight her bold delivery, infectious energy, and growing impact within the dancehall scene.

SassyDiva continues to build momentum as a powerful voice for empowerment, proving that passion, purpose, and perseverance can coexist.
