From Struggle to Triumph: Admiral Crumple’s Plexi Glass Park

Toronto underground hip hop artist Admiral Crumple is set to release his highly anticipated new project, Plexi Glass Park, under Cataphonic Productions. Known for his dark, hardcore, and clever brand of hip hop since 2002, Crumple’s latest work stays true to his signature style while pushing his creativity into new territory.

A Raw Yet Evolved Sound

Speaking on the upcoming album, Crumple explained that Plexi Glass Park was made both for himself and his fans:

“Like always I make dark, hardcore and clever hip hop. It’s cathartic and a healthy way to express my anger and anxiety and to transform those feelings into solutions. That’s what sets me apart from other hardcore rappers. I don’t stay stuck in anger or fear—I also bring love and inspiration.”

The project builds on the grimy, boom bap beats that Crumple is known for, with horror-inspired themes layered into an enjoyable hip hop listen. Compared to his last album Nightmare Fuel, which channeled heavier anger, this new record reflects a more balanced mix of struggle, growth, and hope. Crumple touches on everything from health, love, and fashion to dreams of financial success and creative empowerment.

A Responsible Voice in Hip Hop

Crumple stresses that Plexi Glass Park carries a sense of responsibility.

“I always believed things happen to us in life, both good and bad. But we have a choice on how to act back. I’ve seen injustice, but I’ve also seen persistence pay off and righteousness triumph. That’s what I try to capture in my music.”

As a veteran emcee now in his 40s, he takes issue with some of the reckless lifestyles promoted in today’s rap scene. Instead, Crumple sees artists as role models the moment they release music:

“They released their voices over a beat for other people to experience. That way they always renew life, fashion, and even impact society.”

Real Experiences, Real Lessons

The inspiration behind Plexi Glass Park comes from Crumple’s own life in Toronto—navigating relationships, the challenges of living in an expensive city, and speaking with unhoused people and addicts about their struggles. For him, the album is as much about solutions as it is about hardship.

At 43, Crumple emphasizes that his rhymes are grounded in real experience:

“I’ve been in two five-year relationships, released a film to DVD, and dropped over 14 hip hop albums. I’m healthy with optimal blood pressure and I’ve never cheated on a girl in my entire life. Those are facts. So when I rhyme, it comes from a place of achievement and discipline.”

Carrying the Torch

Inspired by hip hop greats like Ghostface Killah, Crumple hopes Plexi Glass Park will stand as a classic in its own right—an honest, unfiltered reflection of his life and vision. His goal is simple: to keep creating original, tangible art that inspires listeners and pushes them to think deeper about their own choices.
